Who has incarcerated parents in Minnesota
Collaborative members Rebecca Shlafer of the University of Minnesota and Julie Atella of Wilder Research developed an infographic to highlight findings revealed in the 2013 Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) about students with incarcerated parents. Findings include the fact that students in a correction facility are more likely to have an incarcerated parent than those in public schools, and that students of color are more likely to have a parent in a correctional facility than white students. The MSS covers a broad array of topics related to the well-being of Minnesota students.
