FASD - How to Ask the Tough Questions and Then What?

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) affects us all. Come prepared to broaden your skill set on strategies to improve outcomes for young children with a FASD. This session, facilitated by the MN Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS), will provide an overview of the impact of alcohol and drug exposure on students and explores the rationale for screening for prenatal alcohol/drug exposure in school settings. Participants will also identify specific strategies for discussing alcohol use during pregnancy with mothers of the students. There will be time for information-sharing as well as interactive exercises that pertains to the strategies learned in this session for supporting students. 2011 Minnesota PBIS Institute and Film Festival

Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Minnesota PBIS Institute "Positively Minnesota!" This year the focus is on Minnesota Implementation and examples. All are welcome. Poster and Breakout sessions will include content geared towards Administrators, Educators, PBIS teams, PBIS Coaches, PBIS Trainers Parents, Advocates, Students, Education Trainers and more.

There will also be the first ever PBIS film festival. The festival will share the creative talents of Minnesota schools implementing PBIS and using video to provide a fun showcase to share creative ideas with colleagues.
